- How long will my appointement last?
Bridal gown appointments last 1 ½ hours on Tuesday to Friday and 1 hour on a Saturday.
- Why do I need an appointment?
Every bride-to-be is special to us. To receive the best possible expertise and guidance Regine and Mary will only work on a one to one basis. We only ever have one bride at a time trying gowns at the boutique.
- What should I bring to my appointment?
Bring an open mind, don’t be surprised if you find ‘the’ dress on your first visit to The Bespoke Wardrobe. We have plenty of shoes for you to wear when you try on our gowns.
- Who should I bring to my appointment?
Bring your closest friend or family member whose opinion you value and who knows you well and with whom you want to share the experience of buying your wedding gown with. - What size gowns are available for me to try?
Most of our samples are the traditional size which is a 12. - May I take pictures of the gowns while I try them on?
We do not allow cameras in the fitting room while you are shopping. Once you have purchased a dress you may take as many pictures as you like.
- When should I order my veil and accessories?
Special order veils have a 3-4 month lead time so making a decision at the time you order your gown may be helpful. At your first fitting you can also try on veils and accessories and meet with our jewellery designer on request. - Can I complete my entire look in one appointment?
Absolutely! Not only do many of our brides find their dress on their first visit to The Bespoke Wardrobe they also find their accessories too. - Do I need an appointment for accessories?
You are welcome to browse at The Bespoke Wardrobe for accessories any time, however you may want to make an appointment for veils. - Can I change the necklines or fabrics of my gown?
Because our gowns are made in the UK and hand made for the bride individually we are able to make subtle changes to our gowns to create your perfect dress. - How far in advance do I need to buy my gown?
It is best to allow 6-9 months before your wedding to order your gown. - What is made-to-measure?
Most of our gowns can be made-to-measure. After taking over 20 measurements a calico will be made. This will then be fitted for you at The Bespoke Wardrobe and final adjustments to the neckline can be made. This is then sent to the designer who will cut your dress for your fitting. - When should I expect to receive my gown?
Your gown will be with us 8-10 weeks before your wedding. We will then call you f or your first fitting and payment. - How can I pay for my gown?
A minimum payment of £550.00 is required to place the your order. You can pay your deposit by cash, cheque, bank transfer or card (please note that we do dot accept American Express). - Can I have a swatch of fabric of my gown?
Once your order has been placed, your fabric swatch will be sent to you within two to three weeks. - What are the price ranges of your gowns?
The prices for our gowns start from £1200.00, however on average, a bride will spend around £2500.00 on the gown of her dreams. - When shall I book my first fitting?
Mary and Regine will discuss future fitting dates when you order your gown. - What should I bring to my first fitting?
It is absolutely crucial to bring your bridal shoes to your fitting, however there is a selection of shoes in store for you to chose from and purchase. If you have any special underwear and jewellery to try, this will be the perfect time to do so. Due to the concentration required, please only bring one person to your fitting. - How many fittings will I need?
Usually a bride needs around two to three fittings. Bespoke gowns can require more fittings. - I am getting married abroad, can you pack my gown?
Of course, after all the fittings are carried out you can bring in your case and we will pack it for you. - I am getting married in less than 4 months. is it too late to get a gown from you?
No it’s not too late, but every second counts! Your options include buying one of our samples off the rail or ordering a ‘rush cut’ with one of our designers if possible. - What is a rush cut?
We can usually order a gown to be made at very short notice for an additional fee.
